These finely crafted, designer lamps are made to the same build quality as our signature Craftsman lamps and are not simply a cigar box with a light bulb sticking out. These heirloom quality lamps are made from solid Cherry, Quarter Sawn Oak or Walnut, and come in a variety of finishes.
We are firm believers that men should always strive to be gentlemen, and a gentlemen always strives to be organized and tidy. We have taken the idea of a pocket valet, usually just a simple tray where a gentleman keeps his pocket necessities and stepped it up with really classy, collector grade re-purposed cigar boxes. It keeps your keys and other items concealed in one place so they are easier for you to find, plus it keeps them off the kitchen counter, coffee table or other places where they tend to annoy others. If you make a habit of using this simple concept it will change your world. No more lost keys, no more clutter laying around and a lot less stress for everybody. Of course the boxes can be used to store whatever you want, you could even use them for cigars! What ever the need, these functional and beautiful lamps would look great anywhere in your home. On the gentleman’s dresser, on an entry way table, on a bar or in the Man Cave.
We carefully choose re-purposed collector grade boxes then correct minor flaws that may be present and repair or upgrade the hinges as needed. Good cigar boxes are always made from Spanish cedar, it’s very hydroscopic, it allows the box to store and retain moisture to preserve the cigars. Good for cigars, but bad for longevity of the box. We dry them then put a seal coat on the inside to reduce this process, and install a nice removable liner in the bottom to make it easy to clean out.
Like all our lamps, we use highest quality solid brass and steel UL Listed lamp hardware.
No two are exactly alike but we usually keep a number on hand to choose from. We can also build a lamp with a box you supply if you have a particular brand of cigars you like or perhaps have a box of sentimental value that may have belonged to Grandpa. We can take your item and make it into an heirloom worthy of passing along.
